Pre-Kindergarten Special Education Teacher (2026 - 2027)
This vacancy is to create a pool of candidates for vacancies open during for the SY 2026/2027
FCPS offers a continuum of special education programming for children ages 3-5 who require additional support. All settings educate students using academic standards while implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible children who have been identified with a disability. Services are available at an itinerant, half-day, and full-day level based on student needs. Eligible services are provided across educational settings including with and without general education peers as necessitated by the IEP. Participation in this program provides opportunities for all students to strengthen their social and academic skills through a preschool setting designed to prepare them for kindergarten.
Work Year Calendar
- 10-month position (190 days/year), 7 hours per day

Salary
10-month Teacher Pay Scale
Under the Fair Labor and Standards Act this position is exempt from overtime. Actual salary placement will be in accordance with the salary procedures of the Frederick County Public School System.
