Reporting To: Operations Manager
Compensation: $45.52 - $57.67 / hour
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Lean Daily Management System (LDMS) cadence to achieve operational excellence
- Establish metrics and goals that are visible to and understood by the production team
- Execute production tasks based on daily, weekly, and monthly metrics
- Oversee production workload schedule and assign work accordingly
- Develop and execute staffing and scheduling plans on a regular cadence (daily/weekly/monthly) utilizing CAP and Load data
- Supervise daily escalation and problem solving, including support resources
- Drive team alignment between operations and all support functions, clearly defining expectations and holding all associates equally accountable to quality standards, production procedures, company policies and department goals
- Address and resolve associate needs and questions as they relate to Assembly Services
- Develop plans to address skill gaps within the workforce
- Conduct daily Assembly Services Production group huddles
- Align activities to company vision, mission, values, strategies and goals
- Collaboration Accountability: Proactively engage in cross-functional collaboration with all relevant departments to ensure operational effectiveness, quality, continuous improvement, and innovation
- Drive culture of Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Adhere to Quality plan and Standard work discipline
- In conjunction with the Quality team, ensure processes and procedures are updated and followed as it relates to Assembly Services SQS-D quality requirements
- Engage all associates in waste reduction education and activities
- Participate in Kaizen events to drive operational improvements, engaging associates and entire boundary team
- Ensure equipment maintenance functions are performed and records are maintained
Staffing & Team Leadership
- Interview, hire, onboard, and train new associates
- Lead, coach, and mentor associates to build technical capability, professional growth, and career development
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with associates through consistent communication, trust, and responsiveness, recognizing that the manager-associate relationship is the foundation of team engagement and performance
- Maintain consistent leadership practices and fair application of company policies and procedures
- Translate company goals, expectations, and communications so associates clearly understand and align with them
- Resolve conflicts and associate concerns using appropriate communication and escalation channels
- Oversee the efficient and effective daily operations of the department
- Ensure alignment between financial management, procurement, inventory control, and operational execution
- Conduct regular performance conversations with associates, including review of department goals, key metrics, and individualized training plans aligned with position requirements
- Promote associate development by supporting technical, interpersonal, and educational growth through formal training, on-the-job learning, rotational assignments, and continuous development opportunities
- Establish performance expectations and monitor associate performance through regular feedback, coaching, and documented performance conversations
- Escalate performance concerns to the next-level supervisor and HR when improvement is not occurring within required timelines
- Maintain clear written documentation of performance and behavioral concerns to ensure fair and transparent supervision
- Administer associate operations, including workstation readiness, payroll coordination, vacation planning, training compliance, safety practices, and operational process control

Required:
- 1 year supervisory or leadership experience (2 years preferred)
- 3 years hands-on experience in a mechanical or hose assembly position
- Intermediate computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, utilizing MRP systems, data mining & report generation

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Manufacturing experience (CNC, Conventional & Auxiliary equipment), or similar business experience
- Previous formal leadership roles or experiences
