Back to jobsRead, track and report compliance with all current applicable federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations and accurately prepare all necessary records, reports and documents (includes OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001 and 4500, and Magellan internal controls) as directed by the EHS Manager.
Record, organize and assist site EHS programs including internal documentation, job safety analysis, risk assessments, emergency response documentation, first aid and employee training, environmental and safety audits, and maintain current crisis management plans.
Work with the EHS Coordinator to keep the SDS system updated and all related EHS systems and employee programs.
Record and track the status EHS training programs (e.g., OSHA, EP, DOT County Air Permits and City Water Quality Permits) written policies/procedures about employee safety, PPE, accident prevention and protection.
Support facility EHS communication efforts, committees, programs, teams and events and assist with positively motivating others to participate.
Works closely with in-house EHS, QMS and CI auditors/inspectors to align and respect similar requirements and EHS values.
Documents records for the Environmental Health & Safety committee, Group leader meetings with the EHS Department, EHS related training for attending all meetings and recording the minutes of the meetings.
Assists with the identification of environmental, occupational health & safety needs and ensures they are included in overall Company training plans.
Administers and organizes the Health and Safety, and Environmental Management file system to ensure documentation (both electronic and hard copy files) is properly stored, filled and readily retrievable.
Maintains, prints/orders needed supplies and ensures that all Agency Certifications are posted (e.g. City of Glendale Industrial Water Permit, Maricopa Air Quality Non-Title V Permit, ADEQ Hazardous Waste Registration and Department of Labor Documentation).
Assist with the 6S system, continuous improvement and other lean manufacturing principles as directed.
