  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions; verify effectiveness and drive timely closure.

  • Support safe work execution through permit review/approval and participation in change reviews, design/project reviews, job hazard analyses, and other risk assessments.

  • Lead and sustain Process Safety Management (PSM), including MOC, audits, PHA/HAZOP facilitation (and LOPA support as needed), and action-item governance.

  • Support industrial hygiene monitoring and exposure assessments (e.g., air/noise) and drive improvements based on results.

  • Maintain alignment to Responsible Care/RC 14001 requirements and support continual improvement activities and readiness assessments.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training, communications, and emergency response preparedness (plans, drills, coordination); partner with HR/leadership on injury management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, occupational health & safety, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing (chemical manufacturing or PSM-covered processes strongly preferred), with demonstrated program leadership.

  • Experience facilitating PHAs (HAZOP or equivalent) and supporting LOPA/PSM programs.

  • Experience with ACC Responsible Care and/or RC 14001 systems.

  • Experience developing or maintaining OSHA VPP STAR status in a PSM-covered facility.

  • Hazardous materials response knowledge (HazMat Technician-level training) and confined space rescue experience.

  • First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Experience in an organized labor/union environment.
