Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, our Sterile Processing Technicians perform the daily cleaning, inspection and sterilization of our surgical instruments in support of the operating room and outpatient practices.

Qualifications
Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
Reprocesses instruments required for patient care.
Resets instrument sets without error.
Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?

Licenses and Credentials
Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required within first year of employment.
Experience
related experience 1-2 years preferred
