Powerhouse Operator
12-hour shift position 7a to 7p & 7p to 7a, rotation monthly.
Hourly payrate $38.20 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
Ability to be trained and follow procedures in all areas of powerhouse department including, Operate boiler and work with steam
Operate turbine and work with high voltage electricity
Operate gas compressor and work with high pressure natural gas
Monitor and operate fire protection system including fire pump
Monitor multiple water supplies and make adjustments as needed
Operate plant water softening systems
Operate plant wastewater treatment plant
Qualifications Requirements
To work safely
Basic math and computer skills
Good communication skills
Ability to do water test
Attention to detail with ability to react quickly and safely in emergency situations
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Monitor several data system within the area
Person will be required to be trained in CPR/ first aid / AED/ BBP
Will be required to make frequent rounds of entire plant in all weather conditions
Will need to have basic mechanical abilities
Will be required to work in confined spaces
Will be required to be trained and act as a Hazwoper Level 2 Responder

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
