Transportation Engineer 1 - Local Programs Project Management, PN 20060609

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with Local Public Agencies to program, plan, and deliver future projects.

  • Assemble, review, and submit proper documentation for plan and award packages.

  • Meet with local public officials and consultant with them regarding project design.

  • Verify federal funds and eligibility of various work items for federal funding.

  • Confer with supervisor or higher-level engineer regarding complex or unusual projects/plans.

  • Track project progress and review plan submittals from Local Public Agencies.

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

Job Skills: Civil Engineering

If operating state-owned vehicle, must show proof of valid driver's license OR must provide own transportation.

Requires valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration of Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.

All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one (1) year probationary period.

Position will be filled pursuant to the provision of the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. An individual assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
