Job Description
Purpose
- The Fleet Instructor is responsible for providing some of the training, Instruction, coaching, mentoring and competence assessment of offshore and onshore personnel in a specific discipline: Cargo, Electrical, Process, Instrumentation, Safety, Mechanical, Rigging & Lifting, Mooring Master and MOME. The Fleet Instructor has the authority support the nationalization on board and the offshore crew development.
Responsibilities
- 1) Gain knowledge, understanding and Compliance of Management System
- 1 Fulfil responsibilities as described in GEMS and make familiar with the documents relevant to your discipline and to HSSE
- 2) Perform the competencies assessment and support the CAS deployment on board
- 1 Develop and present high quality and effective theoretical and practical training and / or coaching & mentoring events for all levels of staff as required by current and future business needs.
- 2 Deliver high quality competence assessments on fleet FPSO units or where required in line with national and international standards
- 3 Identification and use of best practice in development of material and delivery of training, coaching and competence assessment
- 4 Apply national and industry standards to training products where appropriate with the use of technology
- 5 Maintain personal skills against the requirements of the role
- 6 Support innovation and continuous improvement in development and delivery of training and coaching materials
- 3) Develop and maintain effective working relationships
- 1 Treat colleagues, third party contractors and visitors in a manner which promotes and maintain goodwill and in line with the Company Standard
- 2 Contribute to the safety of trainees, colleagues, third party contractors and visitors by taking positive action and making them aware of current procedures
- 3 Ensure welfare and progress is discussed regularly with trainees by following best practice
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety or a related field.
Experience
- Recognized qualification in training and / or education (Assessor / Verifier Awards or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years in the Oil and Gas Industry with appropriate mix of operational, training, and supervisory experience.
- Proven effectiveness and initiative in training, coaching, development and assessment of technical personnel.
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR international standard
- Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
