Back to jobsConduct the development, simulation, and validation of the rotor of the wind turbine (aerofoil, blade, addons, rotor aerodynamic integration) to improve performance in different wind conditions
Work with Xfoil, CFD and BEM tools to simulate airflow around airfoils/wind turbine blades and study their aerodynamic behavior including the impact of manufacturing tolerances, protection for the blade's front edge and vortex generators
Participate in end-to-end design of blade geometries, from airfoil selection and chord distribution, twist optimization based on a set of requirements
Be responsible in organizing wind tunnel campaigns to investigate a given problem/solution
Develop and refine computational models to predict wind turbine performance under different circumstances
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with experienced engineers to integrate aerodynamic insights into blade designs, working closely with other disciplines as loads & control, blade structures and assembly & finish gaining a holistic view of the wind turbine design
