Working as a key member of the Commercial Finance team, you’ll provide excellent finance support to the customer team, ensuring the efficient provision of meaningful information and insightful analysis, and effectively influencing decision-making.

The Role
Support effective decision‑making of the Commercial team through quality analysis, insight and advice, including:
- Terms proposal evaluation
- New product development project appraisal and post‑launch review
- Promotions performance review
Drive compliance with the company controls framework, particularly:
- Terms
- Promotions
- Innovation
- Commercial investment policies
Ensure robustness of reported revenue and profitability numbers, including:
- Regular review and agreement of overrider accrual rates.
Build influence with Commercial to improve revenue and profitability performance through proactive input and challenge
Where relevant, act as finance lead for:
- Volume forecasting process
- Revenue budgeting and forecasting
Drive improvements in financial processes, financial modelling, and reporting capabilities.
Essential Ingredients
- Post qualification experience, including commercial finance exposure, ideally gained within an FMCG environment.
- Qualifications include CIMA, ACCA or equivalent and evidence of CPD.
- Experience of operating in an SAP environment would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret data clearly and concisely, clearly communicating and ensuring understanding of both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills - influential, persuasive, articulate.
- Excellent relationship builder - can build relationships and influence across a broad range of non-finance and finance stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate strong time management and organisation skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
