Job Description
BS in Computer Sci., IT, Cybersecurity, or related. 8+ yrs in network security mgmt, focusing on Cisco Firepower, Fortinet, and Palo Alto firewalls, incl. DMZ design/implementation. Relevant certs like Fortinet NSE 4/5, Palo Alto Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Cisco CCNP Enterprise and Security are advantageous; CISSP and CISM are highly desirable.
Understanding of network tech (L2, L3, VXLAN, BGP, LAN/WAN/VPN) and security tech, including firewalls, load balancing, proxies, and auth methods. Proficient in troubleshooting network/security systems independently, with expertise in OSI Layer 4 and Layer 7 protocol analysis.
Familiar with Zero Trust Architecture and Network Access Control design for enterprise infrastructure, along with DNS/DHCP, Web Security Gateways, and Proxy-pac scripting. Knowledge of Arista and Cisco design, config, and automation. Exp. with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Ansible, and micro-segmentation tools (Illumio or VMware NSX) is a plus.
