Production Supervisor - Stockton
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor - Stockton is responsible for directing production employees on their assigned shift to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and delivery standards. This role oversees daily operations, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Job Duties
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production operations, including inspectors, machine operators, and fabricators
Monitor workflow and production schedules to ensure targets for efficiency, quality, and timeliness are met
Notify Maintenance or Engineering when equipment requires repair or preventive maintenance
Track and report key production metrics, including output, downtime, efficiency, and quality performance
Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to identify and resolve production issues promptly
Ensure proper staffing, materials, and inventory levels to meet production demand
Train, coach, and evaluate production employees to ensure adherence to standard work practices and productivity expectations
Enforce company policies, safety rules, and performance standards, addressing discipline and performance issues in coordination with HR as needed
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, streamline workflow, and improve process efficiency
Implement and sustain 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to promote a safe and organized work environment
Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to analyze process variation, implement corrective actions, and achieve measurable improvements
Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and value stream mapping
Ensure compliance with all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read blueprints, production schedules, and technical instructions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP or production management systems

This position has a salary range of $78,000 to $90,000 and is an exempt position.
