Description

Environment America is hiring interns to work with our issue advocacy teams and our state offices across the country. As an intern, you’ll gain experience and make a difference on important environmental issues like plastic pollution, clean energy, protecting open spaces and more.


What does an intern with Environment America do?

As an intern with Environment America, you’ll help us educate and engage people on the important issues we're working on. Whether it’s by getting our issues into the media, helping to grow our coalitions, or organizing events, you’ll be helping us build the public support it takes to win.
  • You’ll learn how to analyze environmental problems, push for smart solutions, and build public support for our goals.
  • You’ll work side-by-side with one of our staff, learning the ropes of how to organize and advocate for environmental solutions.
  • You’ll attend briefings and trainings to learn even more about environmental issues and gain organizing skills.

Timeline: We hire interns for the fall, spring, and summer. Please indicate on your application which time you are applying for. We accept internship applications on a rolling basis.
