We are seeking a Planning & Delivery Leader (External Supply Chain) to join our team in Changwon, Korea for 12 months contract (Maternity Cover). In this role, you will lead supplier delivery management activities, ensuring material availability, production plan alignment, and on-time delivery performance across the external supply chain. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify risks, drive performance improvements, and support business continuity through effective planning and inventory management.
What you will be doing:
External Supply Chain Management
- Manage supplier delivery performance to achieve on-time delivery targets and continuous supplier performance improvement.
- Conduct demand, load and capacity (L&C) analysis, delivery risk assessments, and contingency planning activities.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to support operational and customer requirements.
- Analyze logistics performance and support supply chain optimization initiatives.
Supplier Delivery Performance Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for delivery performance across the external supply chain.
- Ensure suppliers launch and manufacture parts in line with agreed demand plans throughout the component lifecycle.
- Review supplier delivery commitments and proactively identify delivery risks through standard planning tools and processes.
- Manage and maintain planning systems, including exception message management and inbound delivery commitments.
- Coordinate resolution of stock-in-transit issues, GRIP and NCR stock, and inventory discrepancies with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Manage stock-at-vendor and free issue material replenishment activities.
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve delivery issues through escalation, recovery planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support critical delivery reviews by providing accurate delivery commitments, action plans, and performance updates.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve supplier delivery performance.
Risk Management and Supplier Planning
- Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead supplier orderbook reviews and load and capacity assessments.
- Identify potential delivery shortfalls or excess inventory risks and implement mitigation actions to protect business performance.
- Support resolution of overdue invoices and supplier invoice queries in partnership with Finance teams.
Planning & Control Change Management
- Support the introduction of new products and supply chain changes by ensuring suppliers execute agreed material and delivery plans.
- Take ownership of assigned part numbers and ensure effective supply planning throughout the product lifecycle.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Support Sales & Operations Planning activities and planning cycle execution.
- Work closely with planners to manage demand changes and commitment acceptance processes.
- Ensure suppliers continuously align plans with customer demand and business requirements using standard planning systems.
- Support excess inventory authorization processes and inventory reconciliation activities.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in supply chain planning, production planning, supplier management, or delivery management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Experience using SAP and understanding of MRP and MES principles.
- Knowledge of production planning and control processes.
- Experience conducting load and capacity analysis and supplier orderbook reviews.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve supply chain and delivery issues effectively.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Fluency in both Korean and English.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification.
- Experience working within a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of supplier performance management methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
- Familiarity with Rolls-Royce planning processes and systems would be advantageous.
