Why join us? DWF is seeking to recruit an experienced Solicitor or Associate to join our growing Major Injury & Casualty team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with one of our senior Partners on high-value, complex matters. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic case handling and gain exposure to a broad range of technical work. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed investigations, developing case strategies, attending court and instructing Counsel on a variety of matters. This role offers a brilliant opportunity to learn directly from a highly experienced Partner specialising in Personal Injury, with exposure across a diverse caseload including Motor, RTA, Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and indemnity disputes. We operate a hybrid working model, giving you the flexibility to balance home and office working, while still benefiting from collaboration, development and team support. Responsibilities Managing and progressing a caseload efficiently and proactively Handling litigated EL/PL and Motor claims in the Court of Session and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Sheriff Court, under supervision Applying strong technical knowledge of litigation, case law and legal principles Building and maintaining relationships with key clients Ensuring delivery against SLAs and best practice standards Supporting and taking ownership on complex, high-value cases Continuously developing your technical and commercial expertise Help coach, mentor and develop more junior members of the team What will help you succeed in this role? Experience managing your own or assisting with a litigated caseload of defender personal injury matters Background in EL/PL and Motor claims Insurance litigation experience (essential) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Confident communicator with solid negotiation ability Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure A collaborative mindset and focus on client relationships What we offer?
