Position Summary 

The Family Advocate Coordinator plays a vital role in supervising Family Advocates, coordinating family support programs, and providing case management services. This on-site position at the Family Resource Center emphasizes family engagement, outreach, and collaboration with community partners and HOPESF sites at Alice Griffith, Sunnydale, and Huntersview to promote inclusion and cohesion. The primary goal is to engage families with services that enhance safety, stability, and well-being while supporting Family Advocates in delivering high-quality family support. Flexibility is required, as this position includes regular Monday-Friday hours with occasional nights and weekends. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

Supervision & Support 

  • Supervise and support Family Advocates to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. 
  • Support Family Advocates in data collection, entry, and reporting requirements. 
  • Provide coverage during staff absences to ensure continuity of client care. 

Program Management & Coordination 

  • Coordinate and manage program offerings that enhance family engagement and well-being. 
  • Oversee incoming referrals and client intakes for the FRC, ensuring seamless service connections. 
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment activities to increase program visibility and participation. 

Case Management 

  • Provide trauma-informed case management, including formal intake assessments, treatment plans, service recommendations, and post-service evaluations. 
  • Maintain an active caseload of 15-20 clients, ensuring timely and effective case management. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of client records and case documentation. 

Data Management & Compliance 

  • Oversee the collection of client pre- and post-service surveys, ensuring data accuracy and compliance. 
  • Conduct regular audits of client files and program data to ensure compliance with funding guidelines. 

Client Support & Engagement 

  • Facilitate support groups, workshops, and events promoting self-sufficiency, well-being, and family stability. 
  • Collaborate with Family Advocates and external partners to deliver coordinated responses for family needs. 

Partnerships & Community Engagement 

  • Maintain professional relationships with collaborative partners and community organizations. 

Safety & Confidentiality 

  • Demonstrate conflict resolution and de-escalation skills to ensure safety in volatile situations. 
  • Comply with confidentiality policies and maintain client data security. 

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands 

This role operates in a dynamic, community-focused environment, requiring on-site presence at the Family Resource Center and frequent interactions with families, staff, and community partners. Occasional nights and weekends may be needed to meet program demands, with physical requirements including regular sitting, standing, walking, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and participation in community outreach and off-site meetings.

Salary Description 

This is a non-exempt position offering a competitive hourly wage of $30.00 to $35.00, aligned with industry benchmarks and contingent on grant funding approval.
