PrePress - QC Proofer - Prepress Operator 1 - Nights

Phoenix Color - A Division of Lakeside Book Company   Starting Pay: $23.00/hr (+$1.00/hr Night Shift Differential) Pay Grade Range: $23.00 - 30.25/hr   Additional Incentives: Up to $100 Safety Shoe Reimbursement after 60 days of employment. Phoenix Color will provide all tools necessary. Two T-Shirts provided. 2 Weeks Vacation to start. Hours: NIGHTS 7:00pm - 7:00am Schedule: Monday - Thursday Location: 18249 Phoenix Dr., Hagerstown, MD 21742   As our QC Proofer, you will: Ensure all outgoing proofs match customers’ requests while following all safety and quality control standards. Ensures that production goals are met. Ability to read and understand written instructions. High levels of mechanical aptitude. Ability to read a ruler metric and standard. Position may require some mathematical calculations. Must have general knowledge of manufacturing operations. Ability to read and understand technical press layouts, set up instructions and production instructions. Must be able to pass color differentiation test and maintain that capability Cross training in other roles. Adheres to and promotes all safety, security and environmental policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.   Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 10-12 hour shift Ability to occasionally carry and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to bend and reach for extended periods of time   Qualifications:  Ability and initiative to learn High levels of attention to detail Organizational and leadership skills  Knowledge of department’s safety standards Ability to meet department quality standards Ability to work as a team and individually  High school diploma or equivalent preferred  2 Years of previous printing experience preferred
