Job Description
REPORTS TO:
The Classroom Teacher and Building Principal
JOB GOAL:
The HELP Teacher/Classroom Assistant, under the direction of the classroom teacher, assists the teacher in the instructional and non-instructional activities of the class, so as to provide the children with more direct supervision and instruction.
QUALIFICATION
- Preferred – Bachelors Degree with coursework in early childhood training, psychology, classroom methods or related areas. Such alternative or additional qualifications as determined by the Board.
- Preferred – a New Jersey Teaching Certificate
- Demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities and to communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians and school staff.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Successful Criminal History Clearance.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
