Job Description

This position will be contracted through Bosch’s external vendor under a one-year agreement.

MS/ESC XC Horizontal ENE

Horizontal NE is a cross‑domain engineering organization within XC, responsible for developing and scaling reusable software and platform assets across ADAS, Radar, Video, and integrated vehicle computing platforms. The organization owns horizontal topics such as base software, middleware, safety, security, compute, and engineering methods, supporting XC‑CP, XC‑CE, XC‑AC, and XC‑AS products. Horizontal NE works closely with product teams to enable standardization, reuse, and technical alignment across projects. It plays a key role in building future‑ready platforms for software‑defined vehicles, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and scalability across XC portfolios.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

Work as part of Bosch’s global ADAS teams to develop and integrate AUTOSAR Classic BSW and diagnostics software for next‑generation driver assistance ECUs (radar, camera, sensor fusion, domain controllers).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded AUTOSAR Classic software (BSW and low‑level SW) for ADAS ECUs using C/C++.
  • Configure, integrate, and debug AUTOSAR BSW modules, with focus on: Diagnostics, CAN Communication, Failure management and PDM.
  • Collaborate closely with global system, hardware, and application teams to ensure end‑to‑end integration of BSW with ADAS applications (e.g., radar, camera, sensor fusion).
  • Participate in the complete software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, architecture & design, implementation, unit/integration testing, debug, and maintenance.
  • Optimize software performance and memory usage for resource-constrained embedded systems.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to Bosch coding guidelines, MISRA rules (if applicable), and best practices.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests; support SIL/HIL testing and vehicle testing as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (functional safety) and Automotive SPICE processes contribute to work products and assessments.
  • Create and maintain software architecture, design, and interface documentation for global stakeholders.
  • Use tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, debuggers, emulators, and simulators for development, analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Stay updated with the latest AUTOSAR specifications and implement compliant software solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of software architecture and design documents.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure optimal software-hardware integration.
  • Participate in technical discussions in an international, distributed team; and actively provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Work, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable collaborating in global teams.

Technical Skills

  • 1-5 years of experience in embedded software development
  • Strong Technical skills preferably in automotive domain & Good experience in programming in C, C++ for embedded systems.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR Classic architecture and BSW and ASPICE know-how.
  • Good understanding of microcontrollers, low‑level drivers, and embedded RTOS concepts.
  • Experience / Familiarity in:
    • Vehicle diagnostics and fault management SW
    • AUTOSAR modules: Diagnostic Error Management (DEM), Diagnostic Communication Management (DCM), Communication Stack (CAN\Ethernet\LIN protocol)
    • Automotive protocols and standards: ISO 14229, ISO 15765, ISO 14230, ISO 26262.
  • Familiarity with CANoe, CANalyzer, and issue/requirement tracking tools (e.g., Jira, DOORS/ or similar).
  • Prior Experience with ADAS‑related ECUs (radar, camera, sensor fusion, braking/steering controllers) is a strong plus.
