This is a Salary Non-Exempt position.

Overall Responsibility:
- Produce vessel nominations, formal notices, elevator load orders, internal letterheads and export documents.
- Construct and administer elevator/USDA vessel and barge load orders congruent to all contracts.
- Receiving and checking customer document instructions to ensure accurate loading with USDA and destination country requirements according to contract terms and import permits. Will need to identify customer’s requests not contractual to be negotiated with traders. (decision making)
- Ensure sustained record maintenance of vessel and rail contracts to provide accurate inventory reporting’s necessary for forecasting.
- Producing daily reports that support groups functionality (i.e. tenders for invoicing/elevator status reports/contract summary/logistics/rail in transit)
- Freight forwarding documentation necessary for exporting to destination.
- Accountable for your results to assigned tasks (e.g., delivering on commitments, deadlines, targets, checking quality specifications) (decision making)
- Coordinate large volume of emails and call handling in order of priority, distinguish need to consult management or alert operations. (decision making)
- Follow procedure of set work flow patterns made by department lead. Learn from mishaps/hurdles and bring insight for change/efficient solutions.
- Understanding different trade terms FOB/CIF/NAEGA/GAFTA/FOSFA and payment terms CAMR/CAD/IDT
- Correspondence with customers, internal merchandisers, and outside independent surveyors/suppliers/agents.

- Three years of related experience and/or four year bachelor’s degree
- The ability to work well with others as a team and department
- Detail oriented- accurate data entry, file and record keeping skills
- Good organizational skills
- Time management skills
- The ability to work weekends and overtime
