ABOUT THE POSITION
We’re looking for a hands-on Sr. Systems Engineer to own and evolve the technology powering our distribution centre operations. In this role, you’ll support and optimize the systems that keep a high-volume warehouse running—where hardware, software, and operations intersect. Your work will directly impact throughput, reliability, and the customer experience, with opportunities to lead improvements, shape technology decisions, and drive meaningful operational outcomes.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Own critical warehouse technology – Lead the design, support, and optimization of RF devices, Zebra wearables, industrial printers, conveyor systems, and dimensioning/weighing equipment in a high-volume distribution environment.
Ensure system reliability and performance – Maintain high availability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of hardware and supporting systems.
Drive end-to-end troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve complex issues across devices, networks, and applications, including Manhattan WMS and WCS integrations.
Lead deployments and upgrades – Plan and execute hardware rollouts, installations, and lifecycle upgrades, partnering with vendors and internal teams.
Support operational technology – Work closely with Operations and Facilities to improve system flow, resolve production issues, and align technology with business needs.
Manage device ecosystem – Oversee Windows environments, Intune deployments, and configuration standards for warehouse devices.
Influence technology decisions – Evaluate new hardware solutions, guide vendor performance, and contribute to long-term technology strategy and asset planning.
Stay hands-on – Provide advanced support for endpoints, printers, mobility devices, and warehouse network connectivity, using tools like Jira and Confluence.
YOU HAVE
5+ years of hands-on experience supporting distribution centre / warehouse technology environments
Strong expertise with RF devices, wearable technology, industrial printers, and material handling systems
Experience supporting or integrating with Manhattan WMS, Alan Bradley WCS, or similar warehouse systems
Solid knowledge of Windows environments, device management (Intune), and endpoint configuration
Proven ability to troubleshoot across hardware, network, and application layers in fast-paced operational settings
Experience leading hardware deployments, upgrades, or site implementations
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with operations, facilities, and cross-functional IT teams
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement
YOU ARE
Effective collaborator between both local teams and cross-functional global partners
Comfortable working independently, owning problems end-to-end with minimal guidance
Clear communicator who can translate technical issues into simple, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
Self-motivated, organized, and driven to deliver results in fast-paced environments
