SUMMARY

The Human Resources Ambassador is the welcoming face of Human Resources and a key resource for team members and job applicants. In this role, you will create a positive first impression by delivering outstanding service at the HR office, supporting new hires, assisting with daily HR operations, and helping team members access the information and resources they need. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays highly organized, and takes pride in accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Greet team members and prospective candidates in the HR office, answer questions, provide resources, and direct individuals to the appropriate HR staff.

· Answer incoming telephone calls, screen calls, and refer them to the appropriate manager for handling.

· Respond to routine inquiries from internal and external contacts regarding employment verifications, job openings, company information, and common team member questions.

· Perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of learning events and team member communications, including preparing birthday cards for distribution and printing and collating training materials.

· Collect license renewals from team members and ensure they are accurately updated in the HRIS system.

· Assist with audits of personnel files and I-9 documentation.

· Enter office supply orders as directed.

· Enter HotSOS work orders for repairs needed in the HR office, as directed.

· Greet team members at New Hire Orientation, check them in, collect time clock biometrics, and assist with collecting and reviewing required documentation.

· Work independently or with other team members to scan and index employment files, forms, and confidential documents in accordance with company record retention requirements.

· Maintain team member personnel files in accordance with company policies and government regulations.

· Copy, file, scan, and print documents as needed to support daily tasks.

· Demonstrate a high level of integrity and maintain strict confidentiality.

· Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this job description.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

· Strong guest service skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, HR professionals, and other members of the organization, including executive leadership.

· Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

· Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask effectively.

· Knowledge of both paper and electronic filing systems.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

· Basic reading, writing, math, and task completion skills are required.

· Must possess clerical, analytical, precision, problem-solving, and recordkeeping skills, along with the ability to follow instructions and retain information.

· Ability to speak, write, and understand English is required; Spanish is highly preferred.

· Ability to work varied shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as business needs dictate.

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma required.

· Minimum 1 year experience in clerical, administration, or Human Resources is required, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

· Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Nevada Gaming Board.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting and occasionally standing, walking, reaching overhead, and bending over during the duration of their shift.

· Must be able to lift/carry 30lbs or less occasionally.

· The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and require frequent light grasping motions and occasional firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.

· Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Work performed consistently indoors alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others around computer equipment and other electrical devices.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

· Team Member may be exposed to odor and/or secondhand smoke.
