Our Energy & Utilities business has a vacancy for an experienced Service Technician to join our Telecommunications team. Reporting to the Field Manager and based in Hamilton (with travel across regions as required), your focus will be on delivery for a prominent energy supplier in the district.
Your core responsibility will be delivering the upgrade, installation, and maintenance of our client's Telco ICT network. All while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance in all activities.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering 40 hours with occasional overtime on offer. Immediate starts available.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
You’ll be a capable fibre technician who can work autonomously, while contributing to a high-performing field team.
- Level 3 NZQA Telecommunications qualification or minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Proven experience in fibre jointing, splicing, testing and commissioning
- Current NZ Class 1 Drivers Licence
- Ability to interpret plans and confidently use underground locating equipment
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Professional communication skills and customer-focused approach
