
Academic Interventionist
Job Description
Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a dedicated Academic Interventionist to support student achievement through targeted instruction. This position works closely with students, teachers, and support staff to improve skills and help students meet academic goals.
Location: Neil Armstrong Elementary
Start Date: August 2026
Hours: 1.0 FTE Position
Salary:$50,000 (BA 0-4 starting salary for 25-26 school year)
Required Qualifications:
- Must have or be able to obtain appropriate Iowa licensure/certification
- Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with small groups and individual students to address reading needs
- Ability to analyze student data to inform instructional decisions
- Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment
