
Vice President, Engineering (Servicing Platform)
Job Description
The Servicing Technology team is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead our Servicing Platform organization; the team behind the core systems that power our servicing business at scale. This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to shape the future of our platform through a major re-platforming initiative, driving modern, scalable, and resilient solutions that will support long-term growth and innovation. You’ll play a key role in setting technical direction, influencing strategy, and delivering meaningful outcomes for both our business and our clients. This role blends deep engineering leadership with strong vendor and partner management. This role includes regular travel to our Detroit and Dallas locations, as well as annual engagement with our teams in India.
About the role
Lead and mentor value streams of Agile divisions that lean into data-driven experimentation, innovation, quality and craftsmanship
Communicate and promote the culture and mission of the company
Collaborate with senior value stream leadership to establish a mission aligned with the company vision
Promote iterative, thoughtful decision-making within self-organized teams
Lead the maturation of software development and Agile practices in the organization
Identify organizational requirements for changes to systems, structures and culture necessary to support agility and adaptability
Stay informed of trends and changes in the broader technology, business and regulatory landscapes
Assist value stream leaders in balancing enterprise risk and agility
Understand and plan for the product roadmap, and maintain awareness of broader technical and business changes impacting the value stream
Use operational trends and organizational goals to develop strategic themes and value stream objectives
Develop short-, mid- and long-term key results with multiple divisions to achieve value stream objectives
Identify roadblocks preventing success of strategic themes or objectives and work with appropriate stakeholders to find resolutions
Oversee and calibrate divisional talent acquisition roadmaps and succession plans for the value stream
Prepare and deliver reviews, compensation adjustments and promotions
Oversee and calibrate training, development plans and pairing activities to onboard and upskill the value stream brainforce
Identify, implement and drive adoption of best practices within the leadership community
Mentor and support team members on any of the above responsibilities
About you
Minimum Qualifications
11 years of experience or equivalent in a software engineering, quality engineering and/or product
9 years of experience or equivalent expertise in leading software delivery teams
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or a related field development, or role in a relevant field
Recognized excellence in leading and supporting divisional initiatives
Extensive experience building self-organizing teams that meet organizational engineering and architecture standards
Accomplished in working with senior leadership while balancing organizational needs and risks in a professional and diplomatic way
Experience using Agile metrics, such as sustainability, productivity, client delight and responsiveness to understand value stream success
Experience leading divisions that define and implement migration and decommission plans for legacy software
Demonstrated ability to meet delivery goals spanning multiple divisions with shifting timelines, staffing, and dependencies
Demonstrated ability to advocate on behalf of team members and projects using deliberate, accurate and persuasive language
Extensive knowledge of people leadership practices, such as change management, recruiting, hiring, performance management, corrective action and compensation administration
Preferred Qualifications
9 years of experience programming in C#, F#, PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript, Progress or other object-oriented/functional programming languages
Graduate degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or a related field
Certified in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile practices
Experience mentoring and developing senior leadership
Extensive knowledge of supported business domains

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $216,000.00-$457,500.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
