As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the One Field Services (OFS) resource strategy for Gas Power in the Asia Region, ensuring the right skills, capacity, and geographic coverage to meet current and future regional demand.
- Own regional workforce planning in partnership with global OFS resource teams, including forecasting, hiring recommendations, succession planning, and competency development for Field Engineers and Crafts, and OSS team
- Partner closely with Region Event Management/ITR team, to ensure resources readiness are fully aligned with outage requirement and business priorities.
- Drive standardization and adoption of OFS global operating rhythms, tools, and processes (including scheduling, dispatch, and utilization management) to improve productivity, predictability, and customer responsiveness.
- Monitor and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, utilization, and customer satisfaction; proactively lead corrective actions and best‑practice sharing across the region.
- Lead talent development for the OFS organization in the region, including identifying critical skills, building structured development plans, and creating a strong leadership pipeline for key roles.
- Shape and role‑model a strong, inclusive culture that promotes integrity, compliance, psychological safety, and a respectful workplace; ensure zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or unsafe behaviours.
- Partner with global training team, HR, Compliance, and EHS to deploy training, communication, and reinforcement mechanisms that embed compliance, respectful behaviours, and speaking‑up culture into day‑to‑day operations.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the resource team driving high engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure robust outage and field execution readiness by aligning competencies, certification, and training plans with the installed fleet and upcoming project/outage portfolio as per the core team strategy.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and act as an escalation point for complex resourcing and execution issues, working with cross‑functional teams to ensure rapid resolution and protect customer trust.
- Lead continuous improvement and simplification initiatives across OFS resource and outage operations, leveraging data and digital tools to optimize planning, scheduling, and deployment.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with third‑party providers and contractors where appropriate, ensuring alignment with GE Vernova standards for safety, quality, compliance, and cost.
- Ensure full compliance with EHS policies, local regulations, and company procedures across all field activities, fostering a culture of zero harm and proactive risk management.
- Provide regular operational and strategic updates to Region General Manager and OFS global leadership, including performance reviews, risk assessments, and resource strategy recommendations.
- Contribute to regional and global OFS strategic planning, including S&OP process, and strategic capacity planning initiatives.
- Travel as required across the region and occasionally globally to support key outages, customer engagements, team development, and global OFS initiatives.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to proactively drive the One Field Services (OFS) vision and ensure alignment with short‑term and long‑term organizational goals and core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field required
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in the service line or other related equipment
- 5+ years managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
- 10+ years of Power industry experience
- Experience in reviewing contractual documents for accuracy, adherence to agreements, and compliance with laws and regulations
- Strong project or program management skills
- English proficiency required
Desired Characteristics:
- Field engineer or event managements preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
- Energy, construction, engineering or related experience desirable
- Ability to form, lead, motivate, and direct a strong and effective team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across various levels of internal and external parties
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record in developing talent and building high‑performing, diverse teams, including coaching, mentoring, and succession planning for critical roles.
