Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Manager is responsible for motivating and directing a commissioned sales team to meet dealership sales goals and objectives while creating positive customer experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure efficient and profitable operation of Sales department that meets company expectations
  • Ensure adequate number of trained salespeople are available and on duty during hours of operation
  • Arrange training and scheduling for all Sales department staff
  • Review previous day customer summary sheet with each sales person to evaluate daily performance
  • Address performance successes and shortcomings as necessary
  • Approve all motorcycle sales
  • Ensure used motorcycles purchased or taken as trade are valued at fair market price
  • Ensure that all units new/used are repaired, reconditioned or setup for sale
  • Ensure that all merchandise in the department is displayed properly and that general housekeeping is done on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure that the dealership’s desired product mix is available at all times
  • Abide by and enforce all dealership policies pertaining to the department
  • Project positive and professional image at all times
  • Any other duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and dealership as a whole
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all other employees.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Computer Literate
  • Energetic and self motivated
  • Able to motivate a commissioned sales force
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
