Job Description

Corpus Christi Catholic School is seeking a faithful, enthusiastic and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants must be in support of the mission and vision of Corpus Christi Catholic School and has a passion for supporting students in developing essential communication skills that contribute to their academic success and overall growth. This position serves students across grade levels in a collaborative, faith-filled environment, working closely with classroom teachers, interventionists, and administration to support students' academic, social, and speech growth. Responsibilities:

  • Recognizes and supports the mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School by speaking, acting, and instructing in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Helps build the school's faith community through participation in school, religious, and service activities
  • Conducts speech and language screenings for PreK and Kindergarten students to identify early areas of need
  • Delivers direct and indirect speech/language services in individual and small group settings
  • Collaborates with the school's LEA to support evaluation processes and determine student eligibility for services
  • Implements speech and language services for students with existing ISPs, in alignment with established goals
  • Monitors student progress and maintain documentation aligned with ISP goals and service requirements
  • Collaborates with classroom teachers, interventionists, and administration to support student success across settings
  • Communicates regularly with parents regarding student progress and strategies for support
  • Supports teachers with strategies to enhance language development in the classroom
  • Participates in student support meetings (WIN team) and collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois Licensure (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
  • Certificate or eligible for Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
