Senior Business and Systems Analyst | 100% Remote (WFH) Opportunity General Summary The Senior Business and Systems Analyst supports EMPLOYERS’ financial systems and corporate project portfolio within the Financial Operations team. This role combines functional business analysis with financial systems support, serving as a key resource across a broad range of projects and run-the-business activities spanning Oracle Cloud ERP administration, requirements gathering, scalable and best practice solution design, testing, and change management. In addition, this role supports and drives continuous improvements and modernization while ensuring financial compliance and controls are appropriately considered and maintained. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support Oracle ERP enhancements and quarterly update cycles including requirements gathering, design analysis, configuration review, testing coordination, and change management. Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to identify, design, and deliver improvements to the financial close cycle, reporting, and operational workflows, leveraging automation and data integration where applicable. Support the design and delivery of financial reporting and analysis solutions that serve Finance and Accounting, cross-department business partners, and leadership audiences. Provide systems and analytical support for corporate initiatives involving organizational change, including data migration, process redesign, and system configuration changes. Assist with audit readiness, detailed SOPs and supporting documentation, and compliance-driven system or process changes, partnering with Finance, Accounting, and Internal Audit as needed. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Finance and Accounting processes and procedures. Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, working with IT and implementation partners to deliver solutions. Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to enhance close and planning cycles, analytics, and reporting. Support UAT, data validation, training, and user adoption strategies. Drive change management and user adoption for system and process changes. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of systems with enterprise goals. Support continuous improvements in accounting and financial processes leveraging automation, data integration, and analytics. Act as power user and developing administrator for Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion; serving as a capable backup to the Financial Systems Manager. Assist with Oracle ERP system configuration, access management, and operational support tasks as directed. Coordinate with IT counterparts and 3rd party partners on Oracle ERP/Fusion system updates, including quarterly system updates. Troubleshoot Oracle ERP/Fusion issues as they arise and coordinate escalation to the managed services team as needed. Manage the FinOps Jira service desk — intake triage, ticket routing, prioritization, and resolution tracking. Requirements Working knowledge or demonstrated aptitude; administration experience a plus Strong understanding of accounting and/or financial processes — FP A, financial close, budgeting/forecasting Business requirements gathering, functional design, and solution testing Strong organizational and documentation skills Understanding of data integration between systems Financial reporting and dashboarding Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management Project support and execution across concurrent initiatives Jira service desk administration and work management Tools Technologies Oracle Cloud ERP, or other similar products Excel (Smart View), Macros Jira (service desk and project board administration) Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial operations, or financial systems analysis, including exposure to ERP systems in a power user or project capacity Experience supporting or participating in cross-functional corporate projects or system implementations Insurance industry experience a plus Oracle Cloud certification a plus (not required) Work Environment Remote: This role is a remote (work from home (WFH) opportunity) and only open to candidates currently located in the United States and able to work without sponsorship. Expected Work Hours: Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
