HVAC-Residential Wiring Program (High School)
Job Description
General Description: Instruct high school students in the basic skills related to the HVACR and residential wiring.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 2 years work experience in the HVACR/Residential Wiring field required, primary focus on residential wiring
-EPA 608 Certification required.
-Completed related apprenticeship program and/or college degree in related field preferred.
-Must meet all qualifications for the appropriate license though the Illinois State Board of Education.
*We can provide application forms and guidance on how to apply for the CTE license.
Option A: Valid Professional Educator License that is current and registered in DuPage County with endorsement in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology/Technician (Candidates with valid ISBE teaching licenses must also have at least two years of directly related work experience).

Option B: CTE License: Provide official transcripts showing 60+ semester hours from a recognized institution (emailed or sealed, unopened envelope required to the DuPage Regional Office of Education) + 2,000 hours of documented work experience in the skill area.
Option C: Provisional CTE License: 8,000 hours of documented work experience in the specific skill area to be taught.

Compensation: Salary is placed on a scale based on education and experience, ranging from $56k to $64k annually.
Placement is determined at hire based on qualifications, with potential additional consideration given for prior public school teaching experience.
