
ESY Coordinator
Job Description
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Approximately July 1, 2025- August 09, 2025, up to 6 Hours/Day X 20 Days
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To direct the Summer School ESY Program
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This description of the position of ESY Coordinator is for identification and administrative purposes only. It is not intended to be a complete statement of all duties, which may be assigned or adjusted by the Superintendent of Schools according to varying needs.
- Supervise licensed teachers, paraprofessionals, related service personnel and volunteers.
- Performs various duties related to schedules of students and their related services.
- Coordinate schedules for all staff, including set up date, for up to 8 hours.
- Facilitate in-service training programs prior to the start of ESY.
- Arrange training for bus monitors, attend training.
- Maintain safety of all transportation services and await all-clear from transportation company daily.
Perform other duties as specified by the Director of Special Services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Staff Member, as set by the State of CT certification requirements.
- Supervisory experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual, Spanish and English.
- Experience facilitating training.
- Experience coordinating scheduling.
- Experience as a Lead Teacher or Administrator.
- Certified Special Education Teacher.
- Connecticut Administrator Certification (092).
