1:1 Teacher Assistant 

Title: 1:1 Teacher Assistant ( Special Education) 
Location: Roosevelt Middle School and Thurgood Marshall 

Reports to: Director of Special Education and Program Coordinator 
Salary: Contract 

Professional Development Dates: June 1, 2026- June 4, 2026 ( 8:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.)
Program Duration: June 8, 2026- June 30, 2026 ( Monday- Thursday) 

Time: 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 

Summary: The 1:1 Teacher Assistant will work with one student on a one-on-one basis in carrying out activities that have been initiated by the student's I.E.P (Individual Educational Plan), assist student with physical needs, operate and care for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes and help student master equipment or instructional materials.
