SALARY: $21.00-$24.21 per hour based on candidate’s experience

DESCRIPTION
Madison School District is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Part-Time Substitute Bus Driver to provide transportation coverage when regular bus drivers are absent. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record and background check
Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
Strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
Ability to maintain composure and handle unexpected situations calmly
Punctuality and reliability are essential

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operate a school bus, ensuring the well-being of students during transportation to and from school.
Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure its safety and report any issues promptly.
Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, parents, and school staff.
Follow established routes and schedules, while also being flexible to accommodate any changes when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
