SALARY: $21.00-$24.21 per hour based on candidate's experience

DESCRIPTION

Madison District Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Bus Driver to join our transportation team. No prior school bus driving experience is required. Madison District Public Schools will provide paid training and support, including assistance with obtaining required licensure and certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass required background checks and physical examinations
• Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
• Strong commitment to student safety
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
• Ability to remain calm and composed in unexpected situations
• Punctuality and reliability are essential

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a school bus, ensuring the well-being of students during transportation to and from school.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure its safety and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with students, parents, and school staff.
• Follow established routes and schedules, while also being flexible to accommodate any changes when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
