Summer Teachers - Elementary Special Education - ASD, ABS, DD, SLD, EBD, MMI, MSI

ELEMENTARY SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS for Extended School Year (ESY)
Multiple positions available.
 
DATES & SUMMER HOURS:
June 10- Teacher set-up day (7.5 hours)
June 15 � June 18, Monday thru Thursday, 3.75 hours per day
June 22 � June 25, Monday thru Thursday, 3.75 hours per day

Hours: Teacher hours are 8:45 am - 12:30 pm / Student contact hours are 9:10am - 12:10pm
Assignments will be made based on student needs.

 
SITES:
Elementary ESY Center based Sites: Champlin Brooklyn Park Academy, Jefferson Elementary School, Ramsey Elementary School
Elementary ESY Resource Sites:Andover Elementary School, Sand Creek Elementary School, Wilson Elementary School, Oxbow Creek Elementary School

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Utilizing district provided curriculum and materials, plan and provide specialized instruction to students for maintenance of skills related to IEP goals and objectives in either a multi-age, cross categorical setting or multi-age, disability explicit setting to maintain skills which are subject to regression/recoupment, self-sufficiency, or unique needs. Teachers will also implement student IEP accommodations/modifications/assistive technology and behavior support plans. If paraeducator supports are assigned to the classroom, provide direction to paraeducators to support student needs. Complete end of ESY session procedures, including ESY IEP progress reports.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
Requires ANY current MN Special Ed Teaching License. Must be physically working in the building. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license). Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.
 
RATE OF PAY: 
All Summer School Teachers will receive the hourly rate of $39.04 in accordance with the working agreement as stated in Article X, Section 6. Teachers will be paid for teaching time plus prep time. There is no sick leave for summer school teachers.
