About Laremont
Laremont School is a therapeutic public day school that offers specialized programs to meet the diverse needs of its students.The ELP (Exploring, Learning, and Participating) Program serves students from early childhood through transition grades, providing a highly individualized environment for those with complex needs, including access to intensive therapeutic services, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment. The Transition Center supports young adults aged 18-22, focusing on functional academics, daily living skills, and vocational training. With specialized classrooms, low student-to-staff ratios, and dedicated learning spaces, students are provided with the support and environment needed to make meaningful progress tailored to their unique needs.
Title: Principal
Description: The Principal of Laremont School is a 12 month full time administrative position with total responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of the Special Education District of Lake County's Severe/Profound Program. Laremont is a center-based school for student in the ELP (Emerging, Learning, and Progressing) program. Typically students have multiple disabilities and the curriculum focuses on communication, functional skills, reading, and social emotional supports.The students range in age from Early Childhood to age 21.

Qualifications:
- Valid Administrative License - GADM or PRIN
- LBS-l Illinois Licensure
- Minimum of three (3) years of applicable teaching experience for the assigned program
- Previous experience in special education and working with the severe/profound population
Salary/Benefits: salary range $107,000 - $136,969SEDOL, locally competitive benefits package.
