Job Description- Part-Time/Professional Positions
Job Title: Postsecondary Readiness Tutor Wage/Hour Status:

Primary Purpose:
To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their academic achievement, on-time high school graduation, and postsecondary readiness.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Licensure:
Must be 18 years of age and a high school graduate
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Clear and professional verbal and written communication
Strong organizational skills
Bilingual preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Work with individual and small groups of students under the supervision of instructional staff or the credit recovery lab manager
Conduct tutorial sessions using collaborative learning and the practice of students teaching students through discussions
Assist in teaching study skills and other aspects of college preparation
Communicate with their coordinator/teacher regarding student progress and areas of concern
Professional Growth and Development:
Engage in continuous learning through AVID and related tutor trainings
