Job Description
Current Rates
- Our goal is to find teachers who will commit to being a long term in person sub and who will be earning the top rate of $275/per day
- Starting daily rate will be $210/day; long term rate tops out at $275/per day
Performance Responsibilities for the Long Term Substitute Teacher may include (but are not limited to):
- Provide Instructional support by adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by assisting with the understanding of assignments, information being presented and homework by leading small group work, one-on-one support and class instruction
- Consultation with teacher(s) and other campus staff to assist in providing instructional, assessment and behavioral support, which will allow students with targeted needs meet their academic goals
- Monitoring of students through weekly progress reports, taking attendance and documenting daily notes
- Compliance: Follow school policies including compliance with all school regulations and policies, overseeing students outside of the classroom, ensuring classroom and work areas are kept clean and orderly and overseeing normal classroom rhythms and activities
- Provide other supports for students as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Current California Teaching Credential, 30 Day Emergency Substitute Permit, or Proof of filing for a Emergency California Teaching Credential
- Belief that all students can succeed
- Ability to take on initiative and be flexible and positive in a changing environment
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
