Rice Extended School Year - Registered Nurse or Health Clerk (Summer 2026)
Job Description
Extended School Year (ESY) is a Special Education program for students with disabilities whose IEP team has determined that in order to minimize substantial regression and reduce substantial recoupment time, a student is required to attend ESY. These services will be based upon the individual needs of the students per their IEP goals/objectives.

Orientation Dates: June 8, 2026
Program Dates: June 9, 2026 - June 30, 2026 (except June 19th)
Days of the Week: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:45am-3:00pm
Location: Rice Children's Center
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic First Aid Certification
- CPR/AED Certification
- Asthma Training
- Allergy Training
- Seizure Training
Additional Responsibilities:
Answering phone calls and providing administrative support for program.
Power School enrollment and attendance responsibilities.
Stipend Amount(s):
Health Clerk Stipend Amount: $1,950 ($1,800 student contact hours, $150 Orientation)
Registered Nurse Stipend Amount: $4,660 ($3,160 student contact hours, $400 Orientation, $700 Daily Planning and $400 Professional Responsibilities)
