Summer Fine Arts Survey Instructors (up to 4 unique positions)

Position Requirement:
PEL with current certification in the content area
Experience preferred

Location:
York Community High School

Dates in Session:
June 1 through June 25, 2026 (Monday � Thursday)

Course Topics and Information:
An instructor could teach more than one week of this survey course depending on interest and expertise. See weekly topics below. 

• Students: Current 5th - 8th grade students
• Class Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
• Where: Each week is a different class, each class will meet in a different space as listed below.

  • Week 1 - Dance: Black Box Dance Studio (C183) 

  • Week 2 - Digital Creation - Art: Art Computer Lab (A134)

  • Weeks 3 & 4 - Choose from options below:

    • Fun with Fiddles - Music: Orchestra Room (A153) (*string instrument players only)

    • Ukulele to Studio: Songwriting & Recording - Music: Band Room (A151)

Staff Hours:
8:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. (until all students have left campus) 
Includes class(es), supervision, and daily planning time per CBA

Pay rate: $47.95 per hour

Additional Planning:
3 hours per person, per week

Total Salary: 
Weekly Total: $671.30 (14 total hours) 

The amount of hours and total salary stated above may be reduced if class sections are consolidated or canceled due to insufficient enrollment.
