Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in marching percussion, including drumline performance and instruction.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of percussion techniques, music theory, and ensemble coordination.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available for all scheduled rehearsals and performances during the summer months.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift percussion equipment as needed.
Summary of Duties: The High School Summer Drumline Instructor is responsible for leading and developing the percussion section of the high school marching band during the summer months. This role involves teaching fundamental and advanced percussion techniques, choreographing routines, and preparing students for the upcoming marching season. The instructor will work closely with the Band Director and other staff to ensure a cohesive and high-performing Drumline.
