Job Description
- Prepare financial statements and subsequent analysis in adherence with statutory accounting principles, generally accepted accounting principles or other accepted accounting principles (i.e., tax or cash basis) as applicable.
- Perform additional financial, accounts payable and/or cash management duties, perform reconciliations and provide information as requested to ensure accuracy and timeliness in meeting financial deadlines. This may include training and supervising other representatives within the finance area.
- Prepare, approve, balance, audit and resolve discrepancies of entries, including any interfaces that affect the financial statements.
Technical Skills & Requirements
- 1-3 Years of accounting experience at a level equivalent to this position and/or 9-12 hours of college accounting classes
- Ability in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required
- Basic accounting functions; preparation of journal entries and financial statements, accounts payable and cash management
- Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects
- Basic leadership capability
- Basic data analytics knowledge
- Ability to use critical thinking and apply analytical thought
- Knowledge of statutory and/or GAAP accounting principles
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines
- Ability to learn new tools and/or systems
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree From Four-Year College or University area of study required
- 1 Year up to 3 years
- 1 year needs to be job specific
