Seasonal Grounds-Maintenance

Position:  Seasonal-Grounds Help

Duty Days:  45 days-June 1-July 31
6 A.M.- 4:30 P.M.-Monday-Thursday, Friday off

Salary:  $14.37

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Pick up trash and clean grounds.
• Edge and mow all areas.
• Hoe, prune, weed and water grounds.
• Empty outside trash barrels.
• Plant shrubs, trees and grass as directed.
• Maintain proper drainage on all campuses.
• Assist other personnel as needed.
• Dress according to the department dress code.
• Perform all other duties assigned.
• Report to Coordinator of Grounds.

Work Conditions: 

• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Moderate irregular hours.
• Works with frequent interruptions.
• Preparation of materials may involve the packing, moving, and lifting of equipment and supplies.
• Continuous walking and standing.
• Work outside and inside; exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and odors. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards.
• Work around moving objects and vehicles.
