Job Description

POSITION: Title 1 Tutor
LOCATION: Presentation of Mary Academy
WORK YEAR: 5 days a week (2 hours per day/36 weeks)
STARTING: ASAP
SALARY RANGE: $35 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
Able to collect and maintain student academic data.
Experience in providing appropriate instructional small group techniques and methods in assisting students learning key concepts/ skills.
Current NH certification required

GOALS: To provide supplemental support in reading assessment to students who are at risk of not achieving state standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide individual or small group instruction.
Communicate and collaborate with school staff.
Maintain required records.
Conduct benchmark assessments each trimester.

JOB SUMMARY: The Title 1 tutor provides reading instruction for students requiring small group instruction, and performs related duties in accordance with District policies. The Title 1 tutor is responsible for group and individual instruction in reading for students who meet state and federal guidelines. The Title I tutor is also responsible for collaborating with teachers and administration regarding the needs and progress as it relates to student achievement.
