Job Description
Job Title: Licensed Professional Counselor Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Student Support Services Pay Grade: TADM 3

Responsibilities:
- Perform counseling assessments
- assist with behavior management
- collaborate with behavior team
- provide counseling for students as delineated by IEP services
- Serve as member of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee to assist with appropriate placement and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in counseling from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas license as Licensed Professional Counselor granted by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors
- Knowledge of procedures for assessing achievement and intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
- Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions
- Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and other behavior specialists
