JOB SUMMARY:

The Envista Business System Office (EBS Office, or EBSO) is critical to drive a culture of continuous improvement and accelerate company growth and profitability within Envista. The EBS Office is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Envista Business System (EBS) and enabling a problem-solving culture that drives improved performance to deliver results.  We optimize organizational performance by enhancing the alignment and efficiency of business processes by ensuring continuous, sustained improvement across the enterprise through the implementation of Envista Business System tools and methodologies including focus areas like Innovation, Commercial, and Lean.

The Sr. Manager – EBSO, is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Envista Business System (EBS) at all Envista companies, enabling functions and/or sites to meet their Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets. The Sr. Manager – EBSO will also be responsible for leading key high-impact and strategic programs from planning and development through execution.

The Sr. Manager – EBSO helps create EBS sustainability both broadly across Envista and in a targeted fashion at priority OpCos and/or sites.

This role is positioned to advance our strategic agenda and support mission-critical initiatives and will make a real-life difference for Envista’s patients and customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion the implementation and evolution of the Envista Business System (EBS) across teams, embedding continuous improvement as a cultural norm.
  • Partner with operating companies (OpCos) and functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact improvement initiatives aligned with strategic goals, with an emphasis on Innovation strategy, design, development, commercialization, and commercial execution.
  • Facilitate kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions to build EBS capabilities and drive measurable performance improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and coach for EBS tools and methodologies, including Lean, Innovation, and Growth frameworks.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts to address operational inefficiencies and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with global EBS leaders to ensure consistency in deployment and alignment with enterprise-wide priorities and tools.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of EBS initiatives and inform continuous refinement.
  • Facilitate other EBS training sessions (EBSL bootcamps, eLA, ENLO’s) while continuing to evolve the EBS tool set. Ensure impactful kaizen events at Gemba mentoring site leads and OpCos.
  • Drive the evolution of the EBS toolkit and serving as the “tool owner” for various EBS tools, providing subject matter expertise and support to build and maintain a community of internal certified practitioners for assigned tools
  • Promote a mindset of accountability, ownership, and excellence through daily management systems and visual performance tracking.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador for EBS, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages diverse perspectives and innovation while also promoting and facilitating associate development in EBS.
  • Drive our strategic product roadmap to fulfill growth objectives. Extend our understanding of industry, category and product drivers; leverage our current knowledge of consumer trends and key needs while also increasing our capabilities.
  • Collaborate with key leaders across the organization to shape our consumer research agenda and its execution across products.

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in New Product Development, preferably in a highly regulated environment such as medical devices, including experience in innovation strategy and processes including identifying customer needs for new products, road mapping, and product definition highly preferred
  • 3+ years in market research or commercialization, with a strong understanding and application of market sizing and customer segmentation, coupled with the ability to foster market alignment with commercial teams
  • 3+ years of experience, knowledge, and leadership of driving continuous improvement, with the ability to form strong and meaningful relationships with others and an ability to influence top business leadership.
  • 3+ years experience managing projects, preferably in new product development or high-visibility, critically-strategic corporate projects
  • Able to present self with appropriate demeanor in meetings across all levels of employees including executive leadership and their staff.
  • Experience driving real results in a fast-moving, highly innovative environment with team members across global range of time zones
  • Curious about lean thinking and innovation methodologies, constantly pulling in techniques and insights from outside Envista.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 40% domestically and globally depending on organization needs of the project.

PREFERRED:

  • Medical device or dental industry experience (i.e., implants, imaging, or orthodontics)
  • Engineering degree with MBA or like graduate degree
  • Demonstrated experience working with EBS or similar business system
  • Certification in EBS tools (internal candidates)

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
