Title: School Bus Monitor - CONTINUOUS RECRITMENT
Qualifications:
Reports to: Director of Transportation
Salary: As per the contract between Victor Central Schools and the CSEA Unit
Bus Monitor Starting Rater: $16.00/hour (Negotiable based on experience)
Title: School Bus Monitor - CONTINUOUS RECRITMENT
Qualifications:
- Effective communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to problem solve in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in an educational setting.
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Qualified to be employed as a School Bus Monitor per Civil Service and NYS Education Department guidelines.
- Ability to lift and assist students as needed
- Attend meetings as needed
- Follow directives (written, oral, electronic)
- General Bus Monitor assignments
- Assists in transporting pupils safely to and from school daily
- Maintains proper student behavior on bus
- Assists Bus Drivers in loading, transporting, and unloading handicapped children
- Guides children safely across streets and intersections
- May render elementary first aid treatment
- Other assigned duties and/or responsibilities which may be deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
- Maintain Data Security as applicable.
- Maintain confidentiality with staff, student, and family information
- Operate in a respectful, responsible manner
Reports to: Director of Transportation
