VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Multi-Needs position for the 2026-2027 school year.
 
JOB SUMMARY: The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for meeting the needs of students with severe-to-profound academic learning difficulties. The classroom may include students with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, developmental delay, or traumatic brain injury.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants must hold appropriate State of Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Special Education Endorsement
• Satisfactory special education teaching experience
• Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's)
• Expertise in behavior management strategies
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques
• Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents
• Ability to work cooperatively with others

 
WORKING CONDITIONS: Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule. The District offers excellent fringe benefits such as health, dental and life insurance.
