ESY Paraprofessional/Job Coach - Temporary Position (#130601)

VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a temporary paraprofessional / job coach position for the 25/26 Extended School Year program.
 
Orientation: June 01, 2026
Dates: June 02, 2026 through June 30, 2026 ** No school June 19 **
Times: 7:45am � 12:00pm

JOB SUMMARY: The ESY Special Education Job Coach would assist students with significant vocational needs maintain employment throughout the summer. This position would provide support to the students at their various job sites based on their needs. Some students will require on-site training, while other students will only require periodic supervision. This position will also coordinate and communicate with job site supervisors to gather information about the students' performance on the job. This individual will document the students' progress in a report due at the end of the summer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of curriculum materials and instructional techniques
• Initiative to follow through with assigned tasks
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to assist in mobility, eating, toileting and classroom instruction of handicapped students
• A physical examination and negative TB tests are required
• Evidence of a Statement of Approval from the Will County Regional Office of Education to serve as a teacher aide with license registered in Will County, or a teaching certificate registered in Will County

PAY SCALE AND BENEFIT DISCLOSURE: Salary is in accordance with the Paraprofessional Salary Schedule.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Paraprofessionals are paid in accordance with the Paraprofessional salary schedule. All individual and program paraprofessionals accepting ESY assignments do so with the understanding that they may be reassigned at the discretion of the ESY Principal. Classes include children who may require lifting, feeding, or diapering. Applicants must work the entire summer session. No vacation times or subs are acceptable.
