ESY Early Childhood Teacher - 11 Positions Available (130530 - 130540)

VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking individuals to fill teaching positions for the ESY Early Childhood program.
 
Orientation: June 01, 2026 
Date: June 02, 2026 � June 30, 2026 *No classes on June 19th, 2026
Time: 8:45 a.m. � 12:30 p.m.
Location: Dr. James Mitchem Early Childhood Center
 
The ESY program will serve students with moderate to severe disabilities, and will include certified teaching and related-services staff. Staff will attend two in-services for IEP preparation and classroom set-up
 

Note: Number of positions anticipated to be determined by student enrollment. Teachers will be notified as soon as possible regarding the status of their employment for the summer. Teacher assignments are contingent upon student enrollment.

 
JOB SUMMARY: The teachers are responsible to the ESY Principal for: planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicant must hold a Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License
• Knowledge and experience related to proposed teaching assignment preferred

 
WORKING CONDITIONS: Teachers will be paid $40.00 per hour. Applicants must work the entire summer session. No vacation times or subs are acceptable.
